I grew up 15mins from N.O. I was in Miami, as Katrina was heading to N.O. (she had just hit Miami, and Miami was bad enough, tree down, trash on the streets, poor fishes on the beach, fishes that had to have come a long way, nice fishes). I was enjoying a cruise while Katrina was destroying the city. I haven't been back to New Orleans, I've to Materie (sp) and on the west bank...at mardi gras there was still tons of trash (and not from mardi gras either). There were RV in most of the yards in the neighborhoods we past in Materie (sp). On TV they kept saying Fema trailers, trailers aren't that bad, but these are RV's, tiny things. City park lost oak trees, the aquarium lost so much...I loved the oak trees, they had the oldest oak tree, can't replace them.
Stupid cat won't pee in his box, but he will on the cc...
