Great weekend for my Houston Texans!!!!!!!

Well, after a 4 game losing streak, the Texans FINALLY pull out a win against the Titans. It was an eventful game, with Andre Johnsons fight with Finnegan. Ofcourse Andre won the fight! ;) Even though he was ejected, I and every other Houston fan cheered him on. If you know anything about these two, you know that Andre is a very respectful professional player. Finnegan on the other hand already had 2 fines on him for unsportsman like conduct prior to this game so he has a track record. Needless to say, he kinda had it coming to him with his taunting. ANYWAY....... here is what the AFC South standing looked prior to this weekend:
Jacksonville 6-4
Indianapolis 6-4
Tennessee 5-5
Houston 4-6
NOW...........
Indianapolis 6-5
Jacksonville 6-5
Houston 5-6
Tennessee 5-6
The Texans were the ONLY team in the AFC South to win a game this weekend and that REALLY helped us out. I am so proud of the guys. Now the real challenge begins Thrsday night, PLAYING THE EAGLES!!!!!! Only time will tell. :)

As a fantasy owner of Andre Johnson, with playoff loomings in the next couple of weeks, hoping to maintain my first place seed for the playoff bye week, the fight was a terrible thing.
As a UM fan, what can I say. That's how we do at the U. You can take the player out of UM, but you're never take the UM, out of the player. When push comes to shove, always bet on the 'Cane to win the fist fight.

HAHAHA, yeah I would say the "Cane" won the fight. Sorry to hear about your Fantasy though, hopefully they will look at his track record and just fine him, Cortland on the other hand, Im pretty sure he is out of there. Think about this, Seymour did not get suspended for punching Ben Roethlisberger in the face. Andre has a spotless rep, and nothing but respect from players, coaches, AND officials.. Everyone knows Finnigan is a PUNK. So hopefully all will be right with the world. ;)

Good, the NFL announced today that Andre Johnson will not be suspended but instead pay a 25k fine. Thats really good seeing as though we are going to need all the help we can get to even try to beat the Eagles Thursday night.
Also hoping this helps your fantasy Aquanight!

Well, I will tell you that if I had money on the game, I wouldnt have it on the Texans. BUT....... I am still rooting for them. ;)

I think part of the reason neither player was suspended, was look at when the refs broke up the fight. The ref got infront of Johnson and backed him up with what looked like not much force. Had 'Dre pushed the ref to the side, or something, I think the NFL would have no choice at that point.

Well that would a been a different story because he wasn't going after bigmouth but the official as well... And suspension for pushing an official is a whole different ball of wax...

I don't know what league your looking at my friend, but there is no bye week in Darth's playoffs, 8 teams in....You better not lose a game, cause you know Team Jim Bob Cooter has you a by a mile on points

Well I just mean that in the presence of losing control and slugging on a guy, the ref simply got in front of Johnson, and walked him back. Any fight I've ever seen, usually takes more then that to separate them. Johnson never put up any resistance. I don't think that fact did anything to lessen his penalty, but it likely saved his fines from being suspensions IMO.

Ah, damn, your right. Was looking forward to not have to make a game-time decision on an injured player. Got a tougher game against the leader in the other division this week too. Either if I come in #1 seed, or you do, I think we'll travel a similar road. Or are the playoffs non-divisional? By that I mean, will you or I play the #4 seed in our divisional, or just play the #8 overall?
