Green Algae Spreading

I have a 125 gallon tank with 150 pounds of live rock and 80 lbs live sand and the tank has been up and running for about 4 months. I havent seen any algae til about 1 month ago. Now it is spreading all over. I have some corraline algae but lots of green algae appearing daily. I use RO water and leave the lights on about 6 hours a day, thats it. What can i do...? supplement? Also, i have about 30 turbo and astrea snails...

Do you have any fish in your tank? How much are you feeding the tank? Algae is typically the result of excess nutrients in the tank.
Have you tested your phosphorus levels?

I have no fish, only snails for now, I am broke and want to buy nicer fish, therefore I am letting the tank cycle a little more than usual. Also, the algae spreading is a green hair like algae on the sand, rocks, and glass... I ghost fed it about 1 month ago for about 3 days, then did not feed it again since.
