Green Algae

Hello!
I have had my 37 gallon tank set up for 18 months. All water conditions are perfect (yes even phosphates)! However, I can not control the green algae that is growing all over my live rock! I started having the problem when I upgraded my lighting about a month ago. I have two Smart Light 55 Watt Power Compacts (110 Watts total). I have a pretty good clean up crew: 15 blue legs, 10 turbos, and cleaner shrimp. I add the following supplements: Kent Liquid Calcium 1 cap daily, Kent Iodine 8 drops daily, Kent Coral Vite 1 cap weekly, Kent Essential Elements 1 cap weekly, Kent Strontium Molybdenum 1 cap weekly, Kent Coral Accel 1 cap daily, and DTs Photo Plankton 1 cap daily. Any ideas??
Thanks!

Do you have an eclipse III? The reason I ask is that I have one and your set up and additives sound very similar to mine.
My guess (and yours)the problem is the extra new lights. I added light to mine and I have more algae on ther glass then before. None on my rock! You might try scaling back on the length of time you keep the lights on.
IMHO, I would add to your clean-up crew and get a handle on the algae. I tend to go overboard on hermitcrabs and I try to keep about 1 per gallon. I also keep a mix of blue and red legs.
Good luck,
Connie

Lighting changes often cause algea outbreaks. Reduce the time they are on and then slowly increase the time. A good clean up crew will also help out.
