We have had him in the same tank with the same fish nothing new in a LONG time.
LRFO tank for at lest two years maybe more. He is very large
Usually all we ever see is the legs sticking out reaching for his food.
The past day or two he has been all over the tank and missing a leg with a wound where the leg was. ( cant spot the missing leg anywhere it is a 159g with a ton of rock.)
The water tests are fine "0's" where "0's" should be not changes in living conditions in years.
I will try to photo but when I try that is of course when he turns ( camera Shy)
So what to do.
Thanks,
Janet

Is this normal? he has never done it before.
Did you have a drop in specific gravity, even as far back as a month ago? They don't do too well with SG as low as 1.023. It takes them awhile to show signs of shock, such as losing limbs. If the SG has not changed then I wouldn't be too concerned.
