So I'm still in the process of cycling mytank and the 50lbs of LR i put in has gone through some color changes, worms and all sorts of good stuff coming out anyways.... now there are "bulb" looking things growing on them that are lime green in color. Just curious as to what they are? Coraline that hasn't turned purple yet?

What you are describing sounds like bubble algae to me. I recommend getting a couple of emerald crabs to take care of those. DO NOT try to take them off the rock yourself, because they will pop and send spores throughout the tank, and then they reproduce like crazy. Hope that helps!

Well, the green is green coralline algae, and the brown is brown algae...which isnt good. But, the coralline algae is! Pretty soon, you'll start to see the purple/pink coralline!!

WOW thats good news.... got som egood quality LR then i guess. The brown algae is only on the rocks near the top of the tank facing the light. The purple coraline died off and thats whats there now. Not much I can do about it yet though... still cycling
