Green Carpet Anemone- Please help!

I have a green carpet anemone in my tank and he has wedged himself between two of the rocks. I inherited this tank and was told that he was for a lack of a better term "a punk" and pretty much did his own thing and put himself in weird positions even though he has plenty of room. We have 2 actin lights but one as been out for a while. Could this be harming the anemome a great deal? Please advise! Thanks!

I had a large one and they like a lot of light. How much light is in your tank and how big is it? You can also try feeding it a thawed silverside or a piece of krill. If you place the food on it and it sticks that is a good sign.
They are all "punks" and they can get away with it. They pretty much do what they want to do.

They will move where the conditions best suit them. Where the light / flow fits them best, and where they feel safe. I'm sure it has wedged itself between these rocks because it doesn't feel safe.

The tank is 50 gallons and it has 6 bulbs in it. 4 white light bulbs and and 2 actin or blue light bulbs. I'll try the food thing tomorrow though, thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion. I cut up a tiny piece of shrimp and placed it over the anemome and the food stuck. Yea! Thanks again!

Proper lighting will be key in keeping your anemone alive long-term. You really need to figure out what type of light fixture you have, and find out what the proper lighting requirements for your anemone are. Carpet anemones are some of the more difficult ones to keep from what i've heard, and you should have either a HO T5 lighting setup with individual reflectors OR a MH.
