Green Carpet Questions

I have some questions about carpet anemones. I have a green carpet, not really sure whether it is s. mertensi or s. haddoni. Anyway for the past week it has been acting rather strange. It deflates regularly and is rarely completly open. I read some stuff on here today saying that carpets dont like bright lighting, which is contrary to everything i thought i knew. If that is the case my halides will probably be to much for it. Anyway what could be causing the distressed behavior. Water conditions are ideal. Temp stable 78-80 night and day pH 8.2 Amm. Nitrate Nitrite all 0.

i had the same problem with my white carpet. all parameters seemed fine. Upon advice from lfs fed him a frozen silverside every 3 days and in 6 days he was bigger and happier than ever
