green carpet trouble

bought a green carpet anemone 2 weeks ago is it normal for them to shrivel up at times or do they stay expanded we feed it 2x week half silverslide they are also very sticky will cleaner shrimp stick to them and has anyone had false percula clowns host them without being eaten according to the well known book reef secrets they are supposed to host them thanks for your input

OK, what type of lighting do you have on it? They need IT LEAST 5-6 watts of intense MH lighting to survive.
Did you acclimate it properly?
Water parameters?
As for your "flase" percs (Ocellairus clown), they most likely are tank raised and may never take to an anemone.....no matter what kind. Don't know why, perhaps something about not being laid and hatched next to an anemone.

It is normal for anemones to shrivel up at times.
They should be expanded most of the day though.

well its in a 60 gal tank it has about 4 watts per gal of power compacts but spread out over smaller surface area of 3 feet x 18 inches was acclimatted for 3 hours parameters are 1.025 calcium 460 alkalinity reads fine what about shrimp getting stuck also have a 90 gal reef with 500 watts metal halides will put him in there if he does bad but local petstore hasone under same lights been in there for 8 months looks great

Not always the case, this took less than 6hrs (probably shorter, I was sleeping). Clown is tank raised and in my tank for 4-5 months before carpet was added.

do you have any cleaner shrimp can they get stuck to carpet they seem so sticky how does clown not stick to it
