anyone _know_ what makes green coraline start growing in a reef tank?

Are you trying to grow it? Or do you have it and are wondering where it came from??
I get it mostly on the shaded side of things, but the pink/purple eventually takes over...

In some spots I have lime green coraline, and in other spots I have aquamarine coraline.
Like you said, it is mostly purple, light purple, red, and maroon.
I rather like the variety

i have lime green and white...just dont have any pink are purple yet

I had a lot of green coraline. It was on some Tonga live rock. The purple took it over tho. Was cool while it was there.
