Green Hair Algae

I have a 55 reef ready tank. I have some green hair algae that has started to grow on some pieces of rock. Should I take the rocks that have the green hair algae on them? I also order a phosban reactor to hopefully control the phosphates a little to. All of my parameters are good. Any help would be great. The lights only stay on for about 8hrs a day.

hair algae is usually from phosphates or nitrates...
i found that uping water changes and to physically pull off the algae as it grew was the way to rid my rocks of this algae pest....
IMO just do more water changes add some phosban slowly and remember to change bulbs around 8 months
