I have a 55 gal. reef ready tank that has been up for almost a yr. It has never had any problems untill now. I have a few pieces of live rock i noticed that have soem green hair algae on them. I also ordered a phosban reactor to help control my phosphates as they are a little high. all of my parameters are perfect. the lights stay on for about 8 hrs a day. My question is should i take out the pieces of rock that have the hair algae on them? Any help would be great.

I would go with a lawnmowser blenny or some tangs to help control your hair algae. If there is a lot, then I would just pull it off the rock or pull the rock out and use a toothbrush to scrub it off the rock.
