green hair alge

ive been getting a bad outbreak of hair alge.
can anyone advise me on how i can controll it or
what i should do. thank you

green hair can be attibuted to high nitrate and phosphate readings, control these and you will control the algae. How often do you feed the fish? How much in the biolaod, how many fish? Do you use a refugium, the more info the easier to diagnose the source of the problem.

sorry to interject here, but you guys know of any invert or fish that will eat hair algea ?

you will be hard pressed to find a fish or invert that will completly control the algae. Most just nibble on the stuff, various blennies,crabs and snails are what is most commonly used.
