But first of all locate the problem of green hair algae.

I put in a lmb a few days ago.My water all checks out fine.Phosphates were a little high so i have been using a seachem product for a week or so but it isn't getting any better.

Seachem's Phosguard should be used for no longer than 4 days. Then it can be dried and reused. This product worked for me and for many others. Another nutrition source for green hair algae is silicate SiO2. This element may be introduced into tank by using tap water.
