can the long tentacle plate corals be touching a leather coral? or does it need to be away from everything?

it needs to be at least 6 inches away. leathers r known to kill lps.

Keep in far enough so that they are not touching, and you should be ok...just keep an eye on em.

leathers engage in chemical warfare with anything withing a few inches.
Keep everything away from your leathers.
If you already put it close, move the LPS and run some carbon for safety.

thanks for the advice.

well it was pretty close to the leather overnight but i moved it as soon as someone said too. but as of now the plate coral seems to be doing ok but it seems there is this spiderweb type deal going through the tentacles...any idea what that could be?

I believe it is expelling slime to kind flush its system.. it might have gotten stung and is healing. But I maybe wrong.
