:happyfish I saw one once at my lfs, and it was about 6 inches. Not common in the baby form though your right.

thankfully no, if LFS sold smaller green morays then a lot of people would buy then and put them in 40, 55, and 75g tanks and then end up killing the green moray. Thankfully only larger specimens are usually offered in stores.
According to my LFS guru they're easier to transport/acclimate as they mature, and so he rarely gets one under a foot and a half or so. There is also a stronger market for large green morays, being as though I've seen them up to $400 each, people don't want to spend that much on a smaller specimen.

MorayM...I got mine for $35 bucks...it was three feet long THEN!
I however, have seen large green moray eels for up to $700...I just got lucky and found a kid who needed to dump the eel after it DESTROYED his reef tank
Two weeks earlier, it was at the petstore for $300 (that's what HE paid!)

Ha ha, if you see another one for $35, I'll give you $70 to get it for me, then I'll turn it around for another profit.
