Facts: 220 gal.FO tank. CC substrate, rio 2500 for surface movement. HSA 1000 skimmer, Wet/dry: 4cu bio bale with little giant 5.5, icecap 430 (2 72" 50/50) Occupants: 13" stars and stripe puffer, 7"dogface, (2) 4" yellow tangs, (1) 6" naso, and 13" chainlink eel. temp: 70deg., no amonia, nitrites, good salinity, good PH.. Here's the question. I just recently constructed a coil denitrator to reduce my outrageous nitrates (100ppm) despite regular water changes etc. Coil denitrator has been slowly reducing my nitrates over the past three weeks (down to 60ppm); however, I have this green slim everywhere and it regenerates almost immediately after vac. the CC. Is this a phosphate prob. or what? (by the way, I use a RO/Di unit for water changes and top offs)

Sounds like cyanobacteria. It is usually seen as red and green. It is cause by high phosphates and/or silicates. As for your coil causing it I don't personally know.
