after doing some cleaning in my tank last night. i have one rock that has hair algea. so i cleaned most of the hair off but when i did so i found a little green blob with greenish clear tenicles and clear bulbs at the tips of the tenicles. any ideas? it was in the middle of a bunch of hair algea. and i pulled as much hair off as i could around it but i cant get a good clear picture of it. and why i am at it why would i just have one rock that gets hair algea? if needed i can try to get some pictures but where its located it would be tough!
thanks for any help

goodness, i'd love to see a pic even if it's tough to get. you're describing something really cool, but i've no clue from the description what it may be.
and be happy you only get the algae on only this one rock, but there's probably some mineral or something that is in the rock that the algae thrives on.

ok here are couple picts the best i could get. sorry bout the hair algea! but anyhow i cant seem to get the color right on the picture. looking at it, it has a green base and greenish tenicles but the picture shows it clear looking and after looking at the pictures i would say its a type of hydroid ? just wish i could get the color to show up!!!
