I've tried it when I had my 35g reef tank and nothing was bothered by it. All the corals I had in that tank is now in my 180g tank. Try using foods that is soaked in garlic to get rid of ich.
bunk,
I have greenex but have not tried it yet. Have heard both good and bad things about this product. I am using a product called Kick Ich by Ruby Reef that seems to be containing the Ich problem . I am also using garlic soaked foods as preventive measure. The best thing to do to treat for Ich is use a hospital tank for you fish and drop the salinty..this will give the Ich in your display tank time to drop off. I realize this is not always possible so we do what we have to do. If you go to www.ffexpress.com and click on the Q & A icon in the top right corner then do a search on Ich there are some good articles on ways to treat tanks that are fish and inverts. Good luck
I've used it and agree that nothing was bothered by it.......particularly the ick!!!
Hyposalinity is the preferred method of erradicating ick from your tank. I'd suggest doing a search on "ick" here. I know the process has been discussed in depth.
If you have questions, you might want to post them on the "Disease and Treatment" forum to get better attention.

I used it on the advice of my LFS....should have considered the source. It killed several of my corals aaand did nothing to the ich. Garlic prevention is what I use now, works great. No ich in months, and I have tangs.
I just read an article where the writer stated he used a few different methods for treating ich and a friend told him to try some new flake food out that had a medication in it. Supposeably the meds go systemic and kill the ich on the flesh/scales of fish. No harm done to other life in tank because it does not affect the water. I'll find the article and get more info. sounded interesting.
Kind of the same idea as putting the flea killing stuff on your dogs and cats.
