Grounding Probe?

LFS said it is possible that I lost my cleaner shrimp(s) to stray electricity in the tank. They recommended a grounding probe for all tanks. It was $20. Hmmm... ya'll have one too? I got it. What the heck.. I loved my cleaner "Simon da Shrimp" AND lost $75.00 is when he and Simon da Second died.

yes, it is possible, and a grounding probe definitely is not a bad idea, esp with the cost they are real cheap and only a little insurance

I have a ground probe and feel that it is a good idea for both creature safety and yours. It is scary to reach into a tank of water and feel an electrical tingle, or worse.

How do you measure the current in your tank? I would just like to check to see if there is any.
