are there any dwarf angels that will thrive in a school??(besides coral beauties, don't really like them) i was mainly looking at the flame angel or the black nox. thanks in advance.

I don't know about "school", but given a large enough tank you can certainly get a herd of them....There is a guy on another "reef board" that has a group of 6 or 7 Flame Angels, quite stunning, I believe he has a 220 gallon. I have seen him post several pics with them all together, I guess you could say they are "schooling"

I don't know about "school", but given a large enough tank you can certainly get a herd of them....There is a guy on another "reef board" that has a group of 6 or 7 Flame Angels, quite stunning, I believe he has a 220 gallon. I have seen him post several pics with them all together, I guess you could say they are "schooling"

Don't trust anyone claiming success unless that success is more than a year.
Dwarf angels fight. In a 85 you could get two if you introduce them both together.

2 of each, or just 2? my planned stock list includes harliquin tusk, fuzzy dwarf lion and a red zebra dwarf lion. i wanted to add something active and really like some of the angels.

IMO, your tank is too small for a harlequin tusk to thrive. the 2 dwarf lions and 2 dwarf angels should be ok, though.

IMO, your tank is too small for a harlequin tusk to thrive. the 2 dwarf lions and 2 dwarf angels should be ok, though.

HT's are 10" max length, so you would need at least a 125, preferrable a 150. Other than that, it would be ok.. make sure you have a good amount of LR for your two Dwarf Angels
