Grouper ID (sorry, no pics yet)...

I recently acquired a grouper (currently about 4 inches)... It's black with white spots (opposite to a panther)... I don't have a camera right now, so I know it's not making an ID any easier, but does anyone have an idea?
I'm only keeping it for a couple months or so, but what are some good tankmates for him that won't get eaten?
I wanna give him a friend.. Not a buffet

the grouper that i commonly see that fits this description would be a spotted grouper, Epinephelus ongus.
what are its current tankmates?

As it turns out, I have a buddy who is looking for some additions to his 90G FOWLR... It's been established for about five months and all he's got in it right now is a Radiata Lion and a Porcupine Puffer... They're both about the same size as the Grouper (the puffer looks as though it may be a bit on the smaller side), so I'm wondering if it would be safe for him to add this guy into his tank.
Whaddya think?

Ok looked it up on another site and both the puffer and spotted grouper can go into a 90 because it is the min. tank size, but make sure the filters can take care of the bioload.

He's got a Fluval FX5, so I think he's set.
...Is this safe to assume?

Well I forgot about it but there is a chance the puffer may nip at the lion, but if there isn't any problems I don't see why not. I'm no expert but just what I figured.

That's what I was thinking, but apparently they get along just fine

Maybe it's more of a problem between Volitans and Puffers?

I guess. Aren't Volitians fins bigger than the rest? Well if there's no problems then who's complaining.

And on a more random note, how would the grouper and a fully-grown flame angel get along?
Would they be alright if they're about the same size?
Would the flame get stressed out?

Volitan's fins look more like banners whereas the Radiata's seem to be thinner and more pointed.
Maybe that's why the puffer would bother one over the other...
Just a thought, but not a definite answer.

On another random note,
Do you really like Lil' Bush?
If so, I believe you're the first person I've come across that actually does...

To each his own

I don't know if it's gonna last past this first season, though.. So you might wanna keep your fingers crossed (no offense).

hey, as long as they come out with a soundtrack with all those great songs on there, I'll be happy
I could watch season 1 all day.
