Grouper/puffer question

Im a little conserned, i know that puffers arnt reef safe, i woke up this morning and one of my star polyp things (i have two right next two eachother) was moved about 3 inches away. I think it was the puffer, so if it happens again, i was wondering if i could move it into a 75g tank with a miniatus grouper. The grouper is prabably 7" long and the puffer is prabably 2". Due to the puffers poisinous nature, would the grouper harm it?

The grouper probably doesn't know he's poisonous till it's too late...
Maybe, maybe, if it was the other way around, and you were adding the miniatus to the puffer's tank. But adding something that small and edible to the grouper's tank, he most likely think it's food anyways.

If it were down to the polyps or the puffer, id choose the puffer, but i only have lps corals (kenya tree, star polyps, and Purple mushrooms) wich i have like 30$ in, and the puffer was only 15, Plus i am thinking about getting a mandarin, so i guess im just making room also, i was really hoping for the grouper idea, but live and learn, right.

LPS? Kenya is a soft coral, so are star polyps (though technically related to an encrusting gorgonian, another topic of another day), and mushrooms are corallimorpharian. The puffer definitely should leave the mushrooms alone, and not bother the Kenya.
Most are gonna say a mandarin will need a far bigger tank...

I didnt mean lps, anyways, have you seen the threads ive started about culturing pods in a 2g tank, This is what ill do, Im going to start a 2g pod culture, wait for the culture to be swarming in the 2g then put a few of those spones (those plastic dish scrubber things, Chemical free) and put them in the 2g, then after about two days put th sponges in the DT were ill build a pod pile along the back wall. Then if i can get my pod population in the tank stable and thriving i will leave them for a few weeks and if i see no reduction i will add a mandarin, and try to wean it onto mysis shrimp, and if i can do that, the pods will be there for backup.
