grouper

i have a 65g tank and i want to keep a miniatus grouper or a blue spoted grouper, along with a lion fish.
what kind of filtration would i need?

i wouldnt put a grouper in a 65gallon tank. reefer, I thhought you had a 30 gallon tank

You aren't making much sense? In one post you talk about starting a 30gal aggressive. Now you want to tear apart a reef tank and put fish that belong in 100gal+ into a 65gal tank.
If you already have the 30, sell everything from that and the 65 that won't need and start over with a larger tank if you absolutely must have these large fish.

I think hes tryin to say he can get away with the grouper in a reef.
If so theres always a chance it will nip at soft corals and stuff,, annenoes,, possibly, But i would say the biggest fear facter of how big and gorky they are and knock over everything,, they are clumsy swimmers... But if everything is well placed,, then u can try it.... oh yea.. ull need a bigger tank once it reaches 5 in... they grow fast

Hey scuba,,, Now that your grouper is a lil larger than mine... is he out more often during the day,,
They max 18 in the wild........ In captivity the largest ive ever heard of is 14... I did lots of research....
