growing green thing???

Hey guys. In advance thanks for your help.
On of my rocks has these little green things growing on them. They're about 1/2" long. I don't have any fish in my tank at the moment. I have just a cleaner shrimp, 2 hermit crabs and 5 snails in this 29 gallon tank. I assume these must have been hitchikers to the rock?? I started this aquarium back in late August. I haven't done a test in about 5 days but last checked perimeters were in near perfect condition. Any recommendations for getting rid of green hair algae. I am doing twice weekly water changes (3 - 5 gallons each time)

You lucky little.... reefer.... We have 3 pieces of neomeris (also called catepillar algae) and can't get it to it spread.
Here's one that was in our tank.
