Ive had this on my rock since I bought it. its kinda white fuzzish, almost like cotton? its only right here, no where else in the tank, and it doesnt seem to bother anything .... BUT WHAT IS IT? its been there for like 5 months, probably grown 20% in that time. Its right by my frogspawn, and the area is getting good flow. I took the best pics I could.

I'm not very good on IDs but that looks like a sponge similar to some that I had. Is there an entry an exit hole visible?

no visible entry hole or 'tunneling' otherwise I would have thought it was a sponge but its so nasty looking, not like the regular little 'cotton balls' sponges.

definatly a sponge, there are over 5,000 different types, they cant all be pretty.
