Growing Things?

Hello everyone,
I haven't posted in a while because I have been busy at work and with me car. It's good to be back!!!
Anyway, within the past few weeks I've seen many things I've never seen before growing in my tank. The tank has been up for about 3 months. Recently, on the glass, I've noticed white tublar objects growing. They vary in length from 1/8" to 1/4". They stick straight out and have 3 or 4 little bristles that stick out of the end. Any ideas??
The other things I've noticed are itty bitty snail like creatures. By itty bitty I mean no bigger than 1/8". The have a tiny shell, and look like tiny snails. It is really hard to tell because they are sooooo small. I've never even had any snails in this tank? Again, any ideas?
Thank you in advance to anyone with any ideas. I'm happy to see so many familiar faces still here!!!

Hey!
Little tube thingies sound like vermetid snails. They are sessile (don't move). I'm not 100% sure on this as I believe they usually have 2 feelers that stick out to collect food and then retract, not the 3 or 4 bristles you describe.
The other snail you describe sounds like a limpet, and they can get bigger. Both of these things are reef safe and good little cleaner-uppers.
Take care,
Dan'l :D

I have the same thing growing in my tank. The little white tubular objects with bristles on them. I started a discussion on them in the reef section and received the same answer as well. Im just glad that no one seems to think they are harmful in any way.

Do tube worms just stay in one spot? These things do not seem to move, but are multiplying fairly quickly. If I have to do something about them, I would like to do it before it's too late!
