growth on live rock

I have a 37 gallon tank with approx. 28 lbs of live rock. My water quality tests well but I have what looks like a brown patch of carpet(smooth) growing on two of the pieces of live rock. I think it must be some type of algae and I'm sure its not a good thing. It does seem to be spreading. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of or what I should do about it? Thanks.

Get a cleaning crew. This site offers packages for almost every capacity tank. The brown algae is not harmful if you can contain it. I usually vaccum the rock when changing water and clean the sides with a sponge a little bit and let the cleaning crew handle the rest.
