Growth Rate of Clownfish and other question?

Can someone tell me the growth rate and life expectacy of clowns?
Also, when purchasing 2 clowns at the same time from a lfs how do I determine which 2?

Life of clown fish is up to eight years for bigger spiecies. Dunno how fast they grow. When i picked out my clowns i wanted a female and a either a juvi or male. I was lucky that when it came time my lfs just got a new shipment of clowns, i picked the biggest most aggresive one (female) and the smallest one (either or a juvi or male)

I've heard around 10 years, but i'm sure in captivity it is less..

actually in my book by joyce wilkerson they can live past 20 years if taken care of well

I am not sure about the life expectancy, but I do have a pair of false percs that are 7 and a half years old and look like they have quite a bit of time left in them.
