GSM G4+ protien skimmer w/sedra 9000

I got this protien skimmer about a year ago, set it up and ran it for a few months w/o any issues and then i had a huge loss of animals in my tank so i just let my tank run w/no fish for about 5mo

during that time i did not run the protien skimmer ... little by little i have now put some livestock into my tank and "tried to start using the G4 again"

i cant get it adjusted to where it doesnt fill up the cup with in a minute

and on top of that i shoots these micro bubbles into the main tank like a cloud. ive made sure that the elbo pipe that goes from the sedra 9000 to the main cylinder is totally under water. i am stumped.. if anyone can help me fix this i will forever be gratefull to you

more than likely salt has creeped up into the air passages and is plugging it some. you need to take that bad boy out and clean it up good, then run the pump in a bucket of vinegar to remove any calcium deposits. most important is the airpath to and thru the pump is clear and free. next time keep it running or once you decide not to use it give it a good clean up and store it dry and clean.

Ugh!! lol, thanks for the advise. i will do that this next week

you should see my footprint inside my sump.. its micro inches lol thanks again
