I've had Mallory, and her mate Micky, for almost a year now. They started laying eggs reguarly about 3 months ago. She has been healthy with an appetite until now. One of her cheek spines is swollen and the coloring at the end fades to white. The other spine is small, pointy and same shade as her face. What would cause her cheek spine to swell and discolor like that? She is the biggest fish in the tank, nobody ever bothers her and she stays in her sebae most of the time like normal.
