29 gallon, 150 wat halide, levels of everything check good, nitrates at 10 or less,
tank 1 1/2 year old
I have read so many threads on this site about green star polyps and have tried the suggestions but cant seem to get mine to thrive. Everyday when i trun on my lights they open up and u can see the white centers and tiny green pieces around the white center. They never fully open up and I have had them for 3 months. No fish or inverts are bothering them. When i saw them in the store they were beautiful and had long green. I have tried them about 6 inches below the top of water, mid level and on the sand bed. I have tried point power head at them and away from them. Does anyone have any sugestions? This is the only coral I have ever owned that did not do good. PLease help

they just might not be happy in your tank. (through no fault of your own)
some people have the same problem with xenia. for some, it grows like grass and is almost uncontrollable. for others, they couldnt keep it alive if they put a respirator on it.
win some lose some.

I'm having a bit of a problem with my GSP's too - in my 8 gallon they wwere beautiful, but I just moved them to the 65 and they are the only coral that is doing poorly. i thought they would do better with better lighting but i guess you just can't win fer' tryin'!
My husband thinks my emerald crab is eating them but I think he's just picking around them.
