gsp is brown?

Ok...I recieved a good amount of GSP in a thermos trade awhile back and everything opened great! However they are not very green. In fact they are brown. I currently have them on the sandbed in my 46gal with 192watts of pc sitting over the tank. Whats the deal?

its the pc lighting . before i had my mh and only ran pc they were brown, now i have a frag of mine in the fuge with the pc light and its also brown

Try moving them higher in the tank to get them closer to the PC's.

I'm upgrading to T5 in the near future. Do you think that will make a diffrence? I will try moving it up higher also.

also gsp thrive with high flow too

I have the same setup as you and i keep my gsp about 8 inches under the lights and they stay green, I had them lower and they turned brown. They are also in med-high flow.

I just moved the GSP to about mid level in the tank and in higher flow. I'll wait a week or two and see what happens.
