My GSP wasn't opening and the top of it was turning brown. I thought it was algea so I attempted to scrape it off with a Q-Tip. While I was observing the piece, I noticed there was a pink sponge growing underneath the GSP mat. I removed the GSP rock from the water so that it will kill the sponge. Could that cause the issue with the polyps not opening. (Parameters in check). Any other suggestions?
