GSP quetion

i have had a GSP for like 6 months now, its the same stupid size. a month ago i decided to glue the frag to a rock, it started to grow fast, but now it kinda stoped cuze this like light greed algea type stuff was growing on it, it brushes right off tho.... is this normal? if left on there for like a couple of weeks will the coral under it die?

I had a spot on mine I would have to keep brushing off with a toothbrush (soft bristled) and it never hurt it. I have pretty good flow on my GSP and just rotated the rock and haven't seen the growth on it again but I wouldn't let the algae take over on it. Turkey baster or toothbrush and really get at it gently would be my suggestion. Pretty hard to kill the GSP trying to clean them though.
