GSP won't grow

I posted this in the reef tank section, but didn't get many replies. It fell to the 2nd page so I thought I would try here. Maybe someone here can help me...
I've heard the stories about GSP taking off in other people's aquariums, but in mine it doesn't grow at all. I have one little patch that looks healthy, but doesn't grow. My Xenia have taken off as promised, but not my GSP. Is there something in the water that they especially like/don't like? Anything I should be adding to the water? I really don't dose with anything except the occasional Calcium. I use natural sea water.

hey i didnt see that your in miami as well lol. maybe some trading will be good.
back to the gsp question. my gsp is taking off and my xenias are slowing behind. as in why idk. maybe it could be getting to much flow? try loosing it up a bit. also maybe the water is not good? try using your own salt instead of natural seawater. how many gallons is your tank? do a 10% or 15% with your own salt and maybe it will change them.

i live in miami too!! near the falls mall. and house of fins :)
yea that happened to my GSP also, everything in my tank is growing and that stupied little thing never did, it eventually died... it got infected with green algea that got unde its matt i guess...

I don't have much to trade at the moment (except xenia lol) I will let you know if that changes
I thought everyone in South Florida used natural sea water.
That is something to think about. Anyone else have thoughts on that?

sweet! lol. i live in coral gables. 10 min away from my favorite store Strictly Fish! i just left there today. well i got some GSP if you guys want some. give me some xenias and i can give you GSP and same goes for you gil5280. what ever you want i got. stop by my thread and you can see what you like and we can work something out. the pics are page 60.
and i never used seawater. i dont wanna deal with the bacteria and such.

i dont like HOUSE OF FINS! they are mean!

they are nice people, they no my father thats probly why... lol... i just got a richordia, so when that splits i will trade... I WANT Xena...

lol. sure bro. i got some xenias if you wanna trade. and no house of fins i argue with them! i never bought from them!

I thought strictly fish closed down? Link your thread so I can see. I can't find it. I've got plenty of xenia to go around!
What I don't have is plenty of GSP! Any ideas?

yea sorry about that. i just came back from house of fins lol and bought a small pulsing X frag.... i put some gravel in a cup and put him in there to grab on, is that fine, i dont want the gravel to be bad or something....
i want some zoos,,, i saw them on ur page... maybe trade for a orange ricordia? i just have to wait till it splits

you dont have to wait to trade. lol. you can just buy them off me.
i can get any zoa i want. so it wont bother me. just txt or call the number. and yea thats fine bro.
