Guess this crab

Hi guys,
Got a question but no picture

I am sorry for that.
But here goes. I got a shipment of green star ployps in and at feeding time I happen to see in one of the small caves, a small (sorry) gross looking crab.
At first it look like a Emerald Mithrax Crab with out its shell.
Cause it was yellow/camel fleshy in color with fat rock arms with small pointed claws at the end of them and about the same size as a Emerald. Gross, Gross, Gross, Does anyone have a clue :nervous: Will it grown to be fish killer "Gross Thousand?"
It jumps away if anything moves near but if I see it again I will get a picture. Gross.:scared:

With no pic I can't really say, but from all I have read any HH crab with pointed claws isn't reef safe. You say it didn't have a shell like a emerald, was it hairy?

Thank you for your relpy, but sad to say

It died.
It looked to be a Strawberry Crab. But now their is a stronger reason to be alerted I see that today now my Emerald Crab died too

I have other types of crabs in my tank, they all check out fine. I check my water lvls, every thing there is normal. My temp is in the green zone highest 80. Shrimps, fish, snail all great. Can this be a sign of something to come . I thought the crabs are the last to go in a tank issue for they are strong like that. :thinking:
Any ideas? For I am worried.
Did I curse the little guys? :nervous:
