Guppies,Gobies,Puffers...

Maybe the water ratio I have backwards,But I still would like to know if it is a good Idea to have all in the same tank...????? And yes I do have guppies in saltwater and they are doing very well I will soon Have pics. to share... :happyfish

Well as long as your puffer is not too aggressive, it should be able to mix with some gobies and guppies. One thing that you should be clear about is that you should really only keep one puffer, not multiple puffers.

guppies,swordtails and sailfin mollies can stand salt water, i put guppies in a small saltwater tank to keep as feeder fish for my groupers. they stay alive and give the groupers a run for there lunch. i also have ghostshrimp in the same tank as the guppies for my seahorses, they too make the seahorses work for there lunch. yes i took them to raise but they to can work.

besides as feeders (fatty liver disease?), why would you go through the trouble of keeping up a SW tank to have FW fish in it?

Yes, brackish fish can cause fatty liver disease, but it would take longer, as their fat content is not quite as high as goldfish and rosy reds.
I am still not condoning them being used as feeders, I just wanted to add that.

that makes sense. i just don't see the point in keeping them.
