LOL. About as ridiculous as expecting Bush to prevent the whole Katrina mess.
who expected Bush to "prevent" Katrina? it's how he and Fema handled the situtation afterwards that upset people. like playing golf for instance...

Funny, President Obama has been playing golf during war time. President Obama has also made as many fund raiser appearances in 1 year as Bush did in 3-4 years. All this while troops die in Afganistan?

Katrina on the otherhand was a natural distaster that requires the President and Fema to respond. the analogy is a lame attempt to bash the President. i wouldnt take the vaccine if it was free and mailed to me. in most cases h1n1 is milder than the normal flu.

So, now I'm insane?
Are not hurricanes and influenza both "natural disasters"?
Did you READ my follow up post where I explained my reasoning behind the OP?

So why hasn't Obama fixed the economy? If you expect Bush to be able to grab the mop and fix everything Nagin and the Governor screwed up in an instant isn't it fair to expect the same from Obama?
Funny how while Obama's hand selected General is waiting for the troops to implement the strategy Obama signed on to back in April none of you Hypocrites on the left are worried about his going out playing golf.

its not every year that a catagory 5 hurricane hits a major U.S. city and causes so much damage that crocodiles are eating citizens floating dead bodies while our government does nothing. there is a flu season every year and no its not a natural disaster. it happens every year and yes some people die from it, but it's not comparable to Katrina in any way, shape, or form. this h1n1 is not an epidemic and will not kill as many amercians as the normal common flu. it wont kill as many as drunk drivers, cancer, gun violence, etc. this entire argument is a lame attempt to bash Obama again...

ah, the economy is getting better and we are nearing the end to the recession that Bush caused, thanks to Obama and his programs. Bush sat a did nothing while american citizens went without basic necessities after Katrina hit. people had to leave there dead family members where they lay, sit on roof tops, starve, and go without drinking water and medicine, for days! not because we didnt or couldnt provide it, but because the order to do so wasn't given! where was Bush when this was happening? on the friggin golf course. where was Condi? buying 500$ shoes! what did the head of Fema say? " i hope this doesnt effect my vacation" it is sickening to even think about it again...

its a little different playing golf during an 8 year long war than playing golf while U.S. citizens die in the aftermath of a natural disaster in a U.S. city dont cha think?

Again, read my follow up "reason for the OP". I did not bash Obama. I bashed the press and the Congress members who out one side of their mouths say how bad the gov't response to Katrina was while saying give the gov't control of healthcare.
What percentage of blame would you give to Bush, Mayor Ray Nagan, and the governor of LA?

What's that unemployment figure again?
I wont even waste my time on the rest of the ignorant drivel you went on to post. You should believe everything you read on blogs. By the way, how are you with Obama spending hundreds of thousands of taxpayer money to take his wife to a Broadway play while unemployment was over 8.5%?

And who played golf during Katrina? You might want to check a source other than some guy posting on a blog from mommy and daddy's basement.

unemployment is still high, but the stock market is recovering, the gdp is high, and for the first time major companies and banks are making a profit. the last thing that will come back are the jobs, and they will.
i have no problem with it at all, he promised her that if he won the election and he kept his promise. no big deal imo.

Bush deserves most of the blame IMO, this was a crisis and not something local official's could handle. the military, Fema, and the red cross should have been there hours after it hit not days later. same thing on 911 he was told we were under attack and just kept reading that stupid book to those kids. he had zero leadership skills an was an idiot!

Like I said, try researching CREDIBLE news sources, none of which reported that because those of us who do know Bush gave up playing golf due to criticism he received for doing so with troops deployed, In 2003, TWO YEARS BEFORE KATRINA HIT.
I guess if you were better informed you wouldn't be carrying Obama's water

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0508/10314.html
"“I don't want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the commander in chief playing golf,” he said. “I feel I owe it to the families to be in solidarity as best as I can with them. And I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong signal.”
Bush said he made that decision after the August 2003
bombing of the United Nations headquarters in Baghdad, which killed Sergio Vieira de Mello, the top U.N. official in Iraq and the organization’s high commissioner for human rights."
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worl...Iraq-dead.html
"Bush's last round of golf as president dates back to October 13, 2003, according to meticulous records kept by CBS news."
And even from a liberal propaganda page
http://thinkprogress.org/2008/05/14/...nt-hold-water/
They try to twist bushes words to make it seem like he claimed he hadn't played since August but it was that event he says led him to decide to quit, not when he quit.
Point being, your sources of information are woefully inaccurate.

Oh, and the one pushing that story is that disgusting pig Rhandi Rhodes on Air America, real credible source there

But the stock market only helps out rich people, at least thats what all you left wingers were saying when it was at 13,000 and unemployment was under 5%
Then something happened in January 2005 and within 6 months the stock market started to fall and unemployment started going up. Hmmm what changed?

Vinny is the typical liberal. Bush bad, democrats good.............
Regardless, how many times you show him that his perception of the event is factually wrong (as I have with written law, or as reefraff has with news stories) he will just change the reason again. First it was his lack of response to Katrina. Then it was his playing golf. Now it is the recession.......which has NOTHING to do with the current discussion at hand.
Just post and say republicans bad, Obama and democrats good. That is all you need say Vinny....

1.) You realize the state has to request the feds to come in correct? If Bush ( or Clinton, Obama, etc) are not asked, they CANNOT voilate the State.
2.) On what factual knowledge do you base your opinion? Have you participated in disaster drills or planning?
3.)You place no blame on the mayor or governor? They are on the front lines. They let their people down well before Bush.
I just love the liberal name calling. I've had major problems with Reid Pelosi and Obama, but I cannot rememebr ever calling them "idiot". I guess name calling replaces facts in the liberal world.

Give it a break! I can not believe how many people buy into the media hype.It is just another type of influenza, did you have such hysteria with the swine flu or the bird flu or Nile virus. If your so worried go get the shot or the nasal spray, go ahead and trust your immune system to microbiologist that created the vaccine for influenza in 1976, causing thousand of cases of Guionbarres Syndrome which is far more deadly than H1N1. You have a immune system, use it. The president can not hold your hand every time a new influenza comes along and they will keep coming and mutating that what viruses do.

Give us a break! I cannot believe how many people buy into the anti-science Luddite hype. Where did you ever get the idea that Guillain-Barré syndrome is "far more deadly than H1N1"? While the symptoms of G-B syndrome are serious, most patients eventually recover. Those who die of H1N1 never recover, not even a little bit. Why is it OK to declare a war that results in thousands of American deaths in response to the death of "only" 3,000 Americans on 9/11 (not that I think that attacking parts of Afghanistan was wrong), but an effective response to a situation that will
kill thousands of Americans this year is seen as some kind of leftist conspiracy?
