What is better for the fish to eat frozen brine shrimp or live? I am definetly thinking live, but maybe it is not worth the extra work to hatch live? Also, where can I get the eggs to hatch the brine shrimp?? Does any pet store sell them?? What do I ask for?? Any other suggests of hatching brine shrimp would be much apprectiated.
Thank you

Sounds like another great use for one of those refugium deals. Don't know about hatching brine shrimp, but Indo-Pacific Sea Farms has what they call sea bunnies (egg-laying opisthobranch snail grazers) which creates somewhat of a plankton producing farm. That's what I'm planning on putting in my refugium when it's done.

There is a website called livebrineshrimp that specializes in shrimp and hatcheries. You may want to look them up and read over their site.
Good Luck!

But what's the difference if a fish eats a live brine shrimp or if it ate the exact same brine shrimp frozen? <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" /> Do they lose nutrients during the freezing process? I wouldn't think so, but I could be wrong.
