Hair Algae in a seahorse tank

I have alot of hair algae growing in my seahorse tank at this time, and was wondering what the best solution to get rid of it would be. I'd toss a lawnmower blenny in it, but I don't want it to harass my seahorse. Any ideas? I could perhaps temorarily throw one in, then move it to my 155? Or is there a simpilar method to get rid of this green pest?

you could reduce the lighting a few hours a day.
Do you use RO/DI water? If so when was the last time you changed out the filters/membrane?

The tank has been running a couple months. Started from premixed ocean water, and I do water changes with the same, or water from my 155.

You do water changes with old water from another tank?

No, sorry about the misunderstanding, whenever I mix water for my 155, I add some to my nano aswell. That's what I meant.

LOL... gottcha.
How deep is your tank? What is your pH? What are you nitrate, phos, alk and CO2 levels? Is your house closed up at the moment (hot summer/air conditioner). How long has your tank been set up? What CUC do you have in there at the moment? What kind of lights? How warm is your tank? What kind of filtration. What is your stocking level. How much/how often do you feed? If you feed frozen food, do you rinse it before "serving"?
I wouldn't add a fish to try and combat hair algae. I had a really mean lawnmower once. I have a video here somewhere of him attacking my hermits. Some may be friendly... others are not. But you'll have less headaches if we get the the root cause of the nutrients.

lol i thought you just took water from the nano and stuck it in the 155 then took some water out of the 155 and put it in the nano
