Hair algae on zoa's

I'm fighting a hair algea problem right now and I think I found some good solutions when I used the search feature here.
One of the problems I'm getting really irritated with is that some of the hair algea has latched on to some of my zoa's. I pulled a frag out and pulled almost all of it off with some tweezers, but there was a small amount that seemed coated to the body of the zoa. What is the best was to really clean these guys when this happens?
I was hoping my three Emerald crabs would have taken care of this but I believe they are union workers. My mexican turbos suck too. I even threw in the a sea hare. I'm desperate.

I would get some more hermits. I have a few jade hermits that do the trick on it. BUt like u said u need to address the problem.
But try jade hermits

Right adress the problem but any hermit should do to touch up that frag. Try putting the frag in some tupperware inside your tank and put a hermit or two in there. They should find it and clean it up nicely.

I have atleast 45 hermits, but I never thought about isolating them with the frag. Good idea.

water quality is most likely your issue.YOu said you have 45 hermits how large is your tank?most people say 1 hermit to every 5 gallons of water.Imo water quality or overstocking is your problem.

It's a 92, and it has a Lawnmower Blenny, Scooter Blenny and a Wrasse.
I only use RO/DI water, the RO unit is 4 months old, lights are only 4 months old as well, the algae issue was there before I bought the last two fish. I haven't checked my phosphates lately(read zero before), but all of my other parameters have been on the money. I also keep macro in the sump.
I'm very careful on how much I feed the tank, I learned my lesson on that when I was doing FW tanks.
Nitrite-0
Nitrate-0
Amonnia-0
PH 8.2
temp 75
Salinity 1.023
The tank is next to a window and recieves indirect light. I hope this is the cause because I'm really getting tired of my tank looking like a wookie exploded.

Boy do I hope the indirect light is the problem, because I am fighting the same thing, and almost everything matches between us, except my temp is 78, and Salinity = 1.025.
Good Luck to both of us!

I spent an hour pulling hair algae out, so I'm now taking a more proactive approach. Cleaner Crews are way overrated!
