hair algae taking over polyps

solutions? It's only a colony of 5-6 yellow poylps, but still I want them to survive.

We need way moer info on setup, filtration, type of water, powerheads, and anything else you can think of. We are dealing with more than a goldfish in a bowl so we need as much info as you can give.

funny thing is the only hair algae I have in the tank is with the polyps.
about a one inch patch, everthing is normal, trates, ammonia,ph,salinity.
the polyps havn't opened up in like two weeks
