I Just bought a half black angel and it doesn't seam to be eating.I am feeding it some flakes. Any tips about this angel in general. Also what are other fish that do well with this type of an angel? :notsure:

Flake food is not the best for angels. Try some good meaty foods like mysis shrimp, plankton, angel formula with sponge, pellets, nori, etc.. Your fish is not terribly hard to keep but you hopefully have a well established tank with lots of live rock for grazing. Centropyge angels are compatable with almost everything except each other, depending on tank size. Post more about your set up.

I have an Eibli which is virtually the same fish with orange stripes (and often hybritize with half blacks) and it eats anything frozen (I use mostly san fransisco bay brand stuff). Initially hardly ate trying to be selective while the tangs grabbed everything but it only took a short while to catch on. I agree they are compatible with most anything sands groupers, triggers, lions ect large enough to eat or harrass them.
On a side note it does most of its eating off the rocks (and unfortunately nipping corals occasionally but not enough for me to remove it yet). If you have plenty of liverock and you see it picking it is unlikely to starve. In nature they feed almost exclusively off of algae and micro fauna on rocks.
