I just got a 70w halide for my 12g aquapod. What do you think i should do to adapt my corals and such to the light? I'm not sure what i should change my light cycle to and for how long. Any advice would be great thanks.

Might want to take whichever corals you can and move them down a little bit, then every 2 days or so move them up a little bit higher until they get to their initial position. Prevents any "light shock"

yea i was thinking about a short light cycle and slowly making it longer until i get back to my normal light cycle .....just don't know how long to start and so forth. I am planning on redoing the rockwork and moving corals etc...

Well think of it this way. In the wild, most corals only get about 2-3 hours of the best, direct light throughout the day. I know you dont want to keep your tank dark all day, but heres an idea.
Lets say usually you ran actinics for 1 hr, then daylight and actinic for 8-9 hours, and actinic for another hr. Maybe say actinics for 3 hours, daylights for 5, actinics for 3 more.
Something like that, I hope you get what I mean there though. The alternative if you really want to ease your corals into things, would be to move them down just a tad bit, and in a few days move them back up to the next available position until they reach where they were before. The most light-intense corals should be at the top.
