how long will it take for a hammer frag (single stalk) to grow enough so I can frag it into 2-4 new corals?

totally depends on how nice of environment is provided and just how happy it is... last one i had quadrupled in about 8 months

+1 Also, if you want to get it to grow faster, feed it some mysis shrimp once or twice a week. Under the right conditions and with feedings, they grow fairly quick.

I've had my first hammer frag for about 2-3 months now, and I am currently watching it split for the first time. I haven't had much luck with feeding the hammer, however each animal is different so it's worth a trial. Anyway, good luck and enjoy it!

just got the hammer 2 hours ago. Both heads are fully opened and its already accepting and eating the thawed myosis shrimp!!! I also got a green ricordea shroom thats right now just sitting on one of my rocks!! my first corals!!

here are some pics the mushroom almost looks like it is splitting??? it opened up today but looks like its splitting and maybe has 2 mouths already i dunno but the hammer is still doing great ate some more myosis today!

how do you feed it myosis? and in what forms does it come in? I feed mysis cubes, but those are so fine that I thought it wouldnt eat any. Does myosis come like freeze dried krill? Im able to spot feed that way.
