Hammer Possibly bleaching?

Hey guys I have had this hammer frag since early this past summer. Since then it grew a second head and I thought it was doing well. I have it under a 4bulb T5 3 Actinic and one 10K.
The polyps themselves are just as dark green and colorful as ever but the base has started to turn bright white between the two heads. Any ideas? I tried taking a picture with my cell phone out the door so it may be hard to tell.

May just be new growth as the two branches spread further away from each other. The white isn't on the heads at all, right?
