Hammers and Mushrooms, War or Peace?

I picked up a beautiful hammer coral this weekend whose shape fit perfectly for a spot I had free. The next closest LPS is a good 6" - 8" from the hammer. However, there is a rock with several red and green mushrooms that are very close to the edge of the hammer and some pulsing xenias about four inches away.
Do hammers generally display their violent tendancies towards softies like shrooms, xenias and leathers?

my hammer stings or tries to sting anything near it. I had to move it pretty much off by itself as the nearest coral is 3" away from it's normally extended polyps.

I dont really think the hammer will care what is around it. When those sweepers come out it's going to try to sting anything it can.
