Aside from dropping in some mysis and brine shrimp and letting them flow around the tank till they are trapped , is there a way I can spot feed my corals. Sorry Im new to this . I have been adding that phytoplankton liquid but would like to give my button polyps, leathers and clove polyps something to chew on. Thanks in advance Peter

most people will use a turkey baster, but i am lucky enough to have a mom that is a nurse so i can get any size syringe that i need. i use a 60cc syringe to spot feed my corals. works great!

Great thanks, what exactly do you feed them with that ? Im guessing you could mix the phytoplankton liquid with some tank water and perhaps a few brines or small food bits all in the syringe or turkey baster ?

it all depends on what you are feeding, but i feed my whole tank through a syringe. i usually mix my frozen or flake food in with some tank water. i feed it a little at a time with the syringe so that it all gets eaten. if i am feeding cyclopeeze, ill just put some of it in the cup with some tank water and target feed my corals with it.

Thanks saltynewbie, Kip Ive started my nano with some yellow polyps, brown button polyps some green leather and some green clove star polyps. I also have a coral banded shrimp in there and its a pretty well established system. I didnt rush it. Im looking for some more suggestions for additional corals down the road. Ive got the standard Naonocube lighting limiting me for the moment but that will eventually change as I grow into this. My tanks are worse than drugs,Im constantly thinking about what my next one is gonna be and neither of the two Im into are complete yet !
