Hang-On Filter question

i have the amiracle sl-5 hangon. the return is basically like a faucet. the water just flows out of one of the hooks into my tank. with this water dropping an inch or two into my tank it also dumps a lot of air bubbles. is there anyway to stop this?

either fill your tank a bit higher, or have the top end of a piece of rock stick out of the water line and let the filter cascade down on the rock, either way will shorten the distance the watter falls, having it hit a rock will also spread the water out a bit giving it a little more disturbance along the water surface. works like a charm on my tank.
